About Jon Diskin, LAc

Jon Diskin, L.Ac, MSTCM
Healing is a deeply personal, yet highly collaborative process. The work we’ll do together meets you right where you’re at, where you’re fully seen, heard, and supported. An experienced Licensed Acupuncturist and Doctoral (DAOM) candidate focused on Integrated Orthopedic Acupuncture for Pain Management and Classical Chinese Herbalism, my approach blends the enduring, effective and safe methods of Chinese Medicine with modern techniques – focusing on acupuncture, myofascial trigger point therapy, cupping, and electronic stimulation (e-stim) as core modalities for pain management.
Our work goes beyond physical pain symptoms by also creating gentle space for emotional integration and energetic recalibration, acknowledging the emotional and energetic layers of pain that often remain unseen. Whether you’re navigating chronic discomfort, acute injury, the weight of accompanying emotional stress or trauma, associated sleep, digestive or other concerns, our work together helps restore balance by regulating your nervous system, reducing stress, and supporting your body’s innate healing intelligence. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that offers you meaningful relief, renews vitality, and nurtures your well-being – through care that is both precise and attuned to your specific needs.
Though I’d had a long term exploration of Eastern philosophy, internal arts such as Tai Qi and Qigong and practiced meditation off and on for the better part of 20 years, my true path towards healing, acupuncture and Chinese Medicine began when I was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 and began utilizing acupuncture and Chinese herbology to manage the debilitating side effects of treatment. It was deeply effective, life altering and led me to start acupuncture school in 2011. My acupuncture treatments and herbal formulas successfully rebalanced my sleep, increased my appetite, reduced nausea, and increased energy and focus. The treatments also gently created space for much needed spiritual grounding, emotional release and acceptance as I faced the unknowns of my diagnosis and my own mortality. Chinese Medicine brought me into sustained contact with Presence for perhaps the first time in my life, which I have sought to cultivate in gratitude ever since. It turned the cancer diagnosis into what I call my “Dark Gift” and became a powerful doorway into self compassion and healing. It is this gift of healing, gratitude and presence that I will strive to bring to every treatment we do together!
Outside of my clinical practice, I find deep joy in getting immersed in nature, being with family and friends, cooking and running. I genuinely look forward to working with you!
